5 Gauge GWR 0-6-0 STEAM LOCO. An interesting 0-6-0 GWR Tank locomotive in 5 Gauge. It runs on air, but despite appearing to have some age to it, would seem never to have been steamed. I have no history with this loco. The chassis may be based upon the LBSC / Reeves Gert design, although other elements appear freelance.

I'm no expert, but it appears to be well engineered with a good level of detail and quality of finish. Slide valves are actuated by Stephenson's gear with pole reverser in the cab. A hand brake works on all six wheels.

It appears to be superheated, and includes an axle driven water pump, and the start of cab controlled cylinder drain cocks (they are linked together and operated by one lever, but theres no rod to the cab yet). I think it likely that the engine was never quite finished, as theres no steam or water sight gauge fitted (although there are holes/cocks ready), and the whistle looks an ornamental add on (indeed its loose). The cab easily unscrews for access to the controls.

Side tanks and a rear coal bunker look ready to carry provisions, but again show no signs of use. Assume therefore that the loco will require some TLC and improvements to get running a nice little winter project!
