HORNBY R3262 DCR CLASS 31 31452 MODEL TRAIN oo gauge

Hornby class 31, 31452 in DCR green. I opened the model for the first time yesterday and gave it a test run. It needs a run in. There is a slight whirl sound running in one directions, i suspect this could be the fan or simply the fact its not been used. I have noticed there is a hairline looking crack on the cab end, possibly because the body is on too tight but I've just left this as is. All the detail bags are fully sealed, and the box if in good condition.
